Dvalin module on route

The 577 ton heavy H25 module on its way out from the Aibel yard in Haugesund.

The 577 ton heavy H25 module is on its way to the Norwegian Sea and the Heidrun platform, eight months after the construction start-up at the Aibel yard in Haugesund.

"I am very happy to see the DEA operated Dvalin project progressing with a high HSE standard and on time and budget", says DEA Chief Operation Officer, Dirk Warzecha.

Warzecha visited the Aibel yard 8. May and joined the Aibel workforce and representatives from Statoil and DEA for the formal sail away ceremony.

“It is very fulfilling to meet the people that makes it all happen, and actually see the shape and scale of the project", he says.

The module is towed to the Mekjarvik quay outside Stavanger. Here, it will be lifted on board the heavy lift vessel Saipem 7000 that will transport and install the module on the Heidrun platform by the end of May.
